March Favorites

I cannot believe that it is the 31st of March already. Like, where the bajeebus did the last three months go? I feel like some bastard has strapped a supercharger onto my life. Because it feels like I am being blasted through this year. And I need to pump the damn brakes.

With April in sight (and literally about to bulldoze me over), I wanted to take a few minutes to reflect on all the bits and bobs that I have been absolutely loving this month.

Apple Watch Series 2:

This was a birthday gift from my fiancé back in November and I can honestly say that I have not gone a day without it. It has literally become extension of my arm.

However, I do have to admit that I only use a fraction of its capabilities.

I am no athlete, nor am I confident that I know how to get to the main menu, and I certainly could do without being reminded to breathe or stand up every hour.

But what I do use are the in-built notifications. Being able to receive messages, missed call alerts, emails and updates without having to look directly at my phone has proven to be an absolute g*dsend. Especially when you are me and you spend at least 40% of your working day in meetings!

Bodysuits:

More specifically, my black bodysuit that I bought on sale for $29.95 (half price!) from Seed earlier this year.

I have not stopped wearing this that it is becoming borderline disgusting. This bodysuit has been known to make tri-weekly appearances.

And it’s not for the obvious reasons you would think. I don’t love it merely because it is black and goes with just about everything. No way. The obsession comes from never having to worry about my shirt untucking or needing to re-arrange myself! And that people, is a damn luxury.

Although, I will admit that this bodysuit in particular lacks the necessary …functionalities that make bathroom trips not a massive pain in the ass.

Spotify:

I’m not sure I know a single soul who is not on Spotify. And rightly so. Because that poor individual is probably still battling with limited storage space, torrent crack downs, and itunes software updates. And ergo, chances are they are miserable af.

So the three songs that I have been absolutely living for can be found on the Easy Afternoon playlist. I honestly recommend you guys give these songs a listen, but also check out the playlist. All the songs make me so, so happy and can make the most drawl days in the office upbeat and enjoyable.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer:

Anybody that has followed my blog since the beginning has seen me bang on about this bronzer non-stop. I have the shade Radiant Light and not only is this particular color perfect for my complexion but the powder itself is incredibly buttery soft and an absoute dream to blend.

If you want to read more of me harping on about the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer (in which I have done a lot of), I have included a list of my previous blog posts for you to check out:

This powder is honestly the bomb dot com.

Nars Sheer Glow:

Similar to the Hourglass Lighting Powder, this next favorite comes as no surprise to the avid Olive and Clo follower. I find the shade Syracuse perfect for my MAC NC 42 skin and the perfect coverage and lightweight consistency for everyday work wear.

At risk of sounding like a broken record, you can find my more indepth review here: Mini Makeup Haul – Ft. NARS Sheer Glow, Kat Von D & Chanel). But long story short, I am a big, big, happy fan!

And I believe that is it from me for the month of March. It has been a crazy four weeks in terms of personal growth and development. I am really happy with how I have started 2017. It’s been such a wonderful journey so far. Let’s just hope April paces herself a little more reasonably than her predecessor.

Thank you so much for the recommendation of Spotify’s Easy Afternoon; I’d never heard that playlist (so many choices!) and love it so far. (Btw, your bridesmaids’ dresses are gorgeous! Have fun with your wedding planning! : )
